Follow a multi-family project

Multi-Family lists your multi-family projects and the units EEHM tests in them, with each unit's final ratings. The pages call a tested unit a unit under test, shortened to UUT. The section appears once EEHM has turned it on for your company and your company has at least one multi-family project.

Project status

Each project shows how far it has progressed:

  • Collecting UUTs while EEHM may still add units.
  • Initial review underway, then Initial review complete.
  • Final-rating QA underway once File QA is selected.
  • Initial review needs reconfirmation: something changed after EEHM confirmed the review, so a QA designee has to look again.
  • Review data unavailable: the project's records need reconciling; contact EEHM.
  • Closed: an EEHM QA designee closed the project.
  • Reconciliation required: a final rating or unit changed after the project was closed, so EEHM has to confirm the current evidence or reopen the project.
  • Complete (legacy): a project EEHM finished in its older spreadsheet workflow.

Projects are never closed automatically: only an EEHM QA designee closes one. Filter the list by Project closure (Open, Closed or Reconciliation required). The project page's Milestone details shows the same Project closure state. The list also counts how many of the File QAs selected for the project have been submitted to the RESNET registry.

Each unit row carries a Worst case value: Yes, No, or Unknown while EEHM has not decided yet. Only worst-case units get a QA review; a unit marked No stays in the project and keeps its final ratings, but no review is expected of it.

Legacy projects

A Complete (legacy) project opens a short read-only page with its completion date and UUT models. Its unit pages and discussions lead back to that page, and uploads and discussion posts are refused. It sends no multi-family emails. If something about it needs to change, contact EEHM.

The project page

The top of the page shows where the project stands: a phase bar (Adding units → Design review → Final ratings → Complete) and one card saying what happens next. When EEHM has published findings that need a correction or reply from you, that card reads Respond to N open items with a button to them, so work waiting on you is the first thing you see; otherwise it tells you what EEHM is doing and that nothing is needed from you. The project list shows the same phase and next step for each project.

Below that come the units, then Project files, UUT groups, Project resources, and Milestone details, each collapsed until you open it.

UUT groups

UUT groups shows which units EEHM has grouped together and which one unit in each group is the selected worst case: the unit whose model gets the design review. The other units in a group are listed as reference units, and no design QA is expected of them. Grouping is EEHM's decision and you cannot change it here; if a group looks wrong, raise it in Project discussions. Until staff group the units, this panel reads that no groups have been saved yet. EEHM's own comparison working papers behind the grouping stay internal and are not shared in the portal.

Project files

Project files is the project's document library. You can search it and filter it by Role, Category, or Applies to, then download any file EEHM shares with your company. Four roles reach the portal, and they are exactly the options in the Role filter: Client-supplied file, Status document, Client note, and QAD note. EEHM's own QA working papers stay internal and never appear here. The library keeps every revision of a file, so the version EEHM worked from stays on the record. Three things stop a download: a file EEHM has withdrawn; one still being checked, whose row reads Download available after verification until the check finishes; and one whose check failed, whose row reads Upload a replacement. Older files that still live in Google Drive are the exception: those open in Drive, and your Google access decides whether you can read them.

To send EEHM documents for the project:

  1. Open Add project files below the list. A unit's Add project files link brings you here too, because multi-family files belong to the project, not to one unit.
  2. Choose one file or several.
  3. Pick What is it? (Plan, Takeoff, HVAC design, Photo, or Other).
  4. Choose whether it applies to the Whole project or to Selected UUTs, and pick the units under Applicable UUTs.

Each file is added separately and keeps its filename as its title unless you give one file a title of your own. Your uploads are listed as Client-supplied file, and a file that is already on the project is refused as a duplicate. Once a file is added, only EEHM can change its details, replace it, or withdraw it.

Project discussions

Project discussions is where EEHM shares review findings and you answer them. The project page shows how many findings are waiting on you and how many are ready for a QAD to look again.

  1. Open View findings and replies for the list.
  2. Open a finding to read it, and use Post reply.
  3. If the finding is still open and you have dealt with it, select Ready for QAD recheck to tell the QAD to look again.

Your replies are visible to EEHM and to everyone at your company who can see Multi-Family.

When EEHM finishes a unit's design review with corrections, the unit's QA status reads that EEHM completed the initial design review, and the corrections come to you as project action items. Once EEHM publishes one, the unit links to Review open corrections, which opens the project's open discussions. Answer them there the same way as any other finding.

Discussions run alongside a QA review, not inside one. Replying to a finding or asking for a recheck does not complete a QA review or answer a rework round: those still happen on the QA case itself. See Work through a QA review.
