Manage models

The Model Library (Tab 0) is where the analysis gets its data. It is staff-only. Everything else in the tool measures savings and cost against the models you load here.

Model slots

The library has seven slots:

  • One baseline slot — the 2019 Ohio Residential Code home.
  • Six proposed slots — packaged sets of 2024 IECC improvements to evaluate.

Load a model

  1. Find the model's Ekotrope project ID in Ekotrope.
  2. Paste the project ID into the slot you want to fill and fetch the model. The Vault pulls the project, plan, and analysis data from Ekotrope and stores it.
  3. Repeat for the baseline and each proposed model you want to compare.

You can give a slot a label, and you can remove a model from a slot.

For staff editors, each loaded model card shows its Ekotrope project ID next to the role label, with a one-click copy button. This makes it easy to match a slot to an external tracker that keys on the project ID. External viewers never see the project ID, and it does not appear in exports or any other tab.

Refresh all models

Once at least one model is loaded, staff see a Refresh all models button. It re-pulls every slot from Ekotrope in one click, using the credential that matches each model's provider.

Refreshing keeps the slot-to-model wiring intact, but it clears all downstream selections — the R408 credits, lifecycle-cost results, and Cost Bridge Table cost selections — because the underlying model data may have changed. Plan to redo those steps after a refresh.

The reset only happens when at least one model actually refreshes. If a single model fails to refresh, it is listed so you can retry it individually, and the failure never blocks the other models.

Next step

With the baseline and at least one proposed model loaded, move on to the R408 Credit Selector.
