Grant access to reviewers

Granting access is a staff-only action. It lets an external rater or code reviewer open a specific analysis.

Grant access from the analysis

  1. Open the analysis and go to its Manage Access page.
  2. Invite a reviewer by email. If the email does not already have a Vault account, the Vault creates an external (analysis-only) account and emails an invitation so the reviewer can set a password and sign in.
  3. The reviewer can now see this analysis in their Analyses list.

You can also revoke a reviewer's access from the same page.

What a reviewer can do

A reviewer with access is a viewer:

  • They can edit the R408 Credit Selector and the lifecycle-cost inputs, so they can iterate without staff doing the data entry.
  • The Model Library stays staff-only.
  • The Cost Bridge Table is hidden from reviewers unless you enable it (below).

The "Can edit costs" toggle

For Ohio IECC analyses, each grant on the Manage Access page has a Can edit costs toggle. Turn it on for a reviewer to let them both view and edit the Cost Bridge Table section. With the toggle off, that reviewer never sees the section.

This single toggle controls both viewing and editing the Cost Bridge Table — there is no separate view-only state. Editing the global cost catalog in the Django admin remains staff-only; the toggle only affects the per-analysis cost selections.

Bulk grant from the admin

To grant access to several analyses or several people at once, staff can use the Grant access to users action on the analysis list in the Django admin. It uses the same invitation and account plumbing as the per-analysis page.
